I am not stupid.
I have tried WinCVS, Tortoise CVS and CVS 11.5 on windows and haven't had any luck doing an anonymous checkout. I can get it to work in Linux no sweat. I also have used other CVS sources to checkout in windows
with no problem,
Do you have automatic "bomb windows" filters in place?
If not I would like to se an exact command line dialog between a windows client and the cvs.sourceforge site.
As best as I can determine anonymous is not a legal user. When I press return after the password prompt - I get cvs [login aborted] end of file
from server (consult above message if any)
Using CVS

I had similar problems on linux. My best guess is a problem with sourceforge.net (overload?), as it worked a couple of tries later. Maybe trying again helps, good luck!
