I've still been toying with adding binary stars at least in the proper positions, but I have found this be exceedingly difficult by all accounts without knowing the coordinates for the parent stars. I went out and got CStarConv, but it seems to not work on Windows XP. I checked the Hipparcos Input Catalogue and even then the RA/Dec values didn't fit with whats in Celestia (amazingly enough).
Did the developers of Celestia use the outdated/obsolete Hipparcos Version 1 to place the stars? Or am I just missing something. If anyone can tell me how to actually find the Celestia Coordinates, outside of CStarConv, or some way to make it work on Windows XP I'd be greatfull.
