If anyone is interested (and doesn't have it already!) there is a 3ds model of a UFO that is free to download at 'amazing3d.com'

I have the model and a SSC file I have produced (with an unusual orbit around earth) in a zipped folder (255kb).

Perhaps the best way to make it available would be for me to email it to someone with a website so it could be downloaded.
One things for certain, I don't fancy emailing it one at a time to all the thousands of you that are going to request it :wink:

Why not post the ssc for us on the forum with a link to the model?

OK folks here's the link, I hope it works;

http://www.amazing3d.com/free/ufo3ds.zip

And here's my ssc data;

# PLACE THIS FILE INTO YOUR 'EXTRAS' DIRECTORY OF CELESTIA
# (OR PASTE ONTO YOUR SOLARSYSTEM.SSC FILE IN THE 'DATA' DIRECTORY OF CELESTIA), WHICHEVER YOU PREFER.

"U F O" "Sol/Earth"
{
Class "spacecraft"
Mesh "spcufoh1.3ds"
Radius 0.060
CustomOrbit "UFO"
EllipticalOrbit {
Period 54.644
SemiMajorAxis 90000000
Eccentricity 0.9999
Inclination 0.0001
}
RotationPeriod 0.005
Orientation [ 90 1 0 0 ]
Albedo 0.10
}

This should mean that our alien friends visit the earth about once a month but as expected they don't hang around for long! They may even have some close encounters with some of the other inner panets over the years, you'll just have to see for yourselves!

Guaranteed hours of endless fun
:lol:

If anybody wants their 'close encounter' with earth to be below the cloud level then adjust the eccentricity value in your ssc data to;

0.9999291
