Celestia 1.7.0 supports a Temperature parameter, which overrides the calculated equilibrium temperature. I'm not sure what you mean by "cycle". If you mean orbital period, it is (and must be) defined in an object's ssc file; it can be displayed in Celestia using the Lua Tools or the info panel in the Qt frontend.

What are white? The rings of the giant planets? Sounds like you're missing textures. Try downloading all files from the GitHub repository and replacing the files in your Celestia install, as described in the thread I linked.
