An update on my other project I have been working on on and off for about 2 months...The Rosetta Nebula...
As a rose its beauty cannot be compaired...
Heres some shots for it...Im including some custom made systems along with the random generated ones made by my Cluster Generator...
The look of it is realistic but Im guessing the stars are not correct...Oh well its fictional in a sense anyways but very cool...
This may only be a few more days maybe another week and it should be done...

When its done I plan on releasing it in 2 parts..Nebula and code and textures for planets and code for the solar systems each seperate...That way the solar system part is optional and can be downloaded at any time...

Rassilon, I was thinking that V380 would have been the MAXIMUM we could expect to be implemented in Celestia as diffuse object, but your Rosetta Nebula is absolutely astounding!
My best compliments, and thank you.

Rassy, I am totally awestruck by the beauty you so easily create. Your talent shines thru with project you take on. My smile is wide as I look at what you have created, and leaves me quite speechless....

It looks very cool, but i'd say it's a bit too redish. Too saturated.

Rassilon, I've used the Rosetta Nebula file, and it's gorgeous.
But with the open cluster and planets I've some problem: I have naturally copied all the files in the right subdirectories, then I asked for the GO TO HIP 500098. Everything OK. But when I tried to go to the various planets and moons, all shown in the Solar System Browser, I see only coloured balls or coloured objects (the moons), without any texture.
Am I missing something?
I have seen in the ngc2244.ssc file the following data:
***************************
"Earthlike Planet d" "HIP 500098"
{
Texture "gc_earth_03.jpg"
BumpMap "gc_earth_03-bump.jpg"
***************************
Where are these textures? Is it necessary to load them from some of your works?
Moreover, now in the EXTRAS folder I have the following files:
NGC2237.dsc this is for the nebula, OK
NGC2244.ssc
NGC2244.stc
NGC2244-katalina.ssc
NGC2244-2.stc
NGC2244-2.stc
Are ALL these NGC2244 files needed for the show, or someone has been substituted by another one, so must be eliminated?
Sorry for my long e-mail, but I'm a bit confused.
Thank you for your help, and for your wonderful Nebula.

Thank you Rassilon, I had already the GCG, so now it's all OK.
Thank you, as usual.

So, Rass (if I may) will you post other nebulae? Without the imaginary planets! I only have a modem and video does not support dds. Seems that you could provide both types of files and we could choose what we could use!
Thanks much!

Michael looking on my website might help to aleviate that issue
I have both versions there for download as requested...Also the current nebula fictional planets only use jpg format...

Rassilon, I thank you for your reply
I have looked at Celestial Visions, but there does not seem to be any downloads of your work.
I have tried the shatters link but have not been able to connect in the past couple of days. Will all of your creations be available, eventually, at Celestial Visions? I can wait if this is the case, in the meantime I will keep trying the shatters link.
Please make a Black Hole
Thanks, Michael
