I am having issues with finding the right Material selection to use in MAX to render correct shadow diffusing as seen below...

As you can see, I am trying to make a landscape on planets...

Nevermind I figured it out..and got it texed right...

Notice the black edges between the atmosphere and the ground...

The atmosphere renders only well on flat surfaces as you can see the mountain is clipped by the rendering...

Then of course theres this part of the planet...

The clipping makes the moutains dissapear...

Maybe someone will code it to compensate for model bumpyness? I would if I had the right tools...

Oh well its a start.

Hi Rassilon,

Could you not attach the pictures here? It is generally concidered bad taste to post other than responces. Just include a link to your images posted on your page.

thats the admins decision...If they didn't want me to post pictures I guess he would've disabled the IMG tag :roll:

BUT in the interest of all I will post links...Geez man somebodys always gotta gripe...

The pictures spill over out of the window and cover up anything behind them, and occasionally hang up. That's all.

Are you using a 56k or something...well I forget that people still use those things...sorry..
