Question about the splash screen

See this thread.

I find it annoying that the Celestia splash screen is always in front of other windows, and said:
It would also be nice to be able to put other windows in front of the splash screen.
onetwothree replied:
Why? The main idea of splash screens is that a user sees that an
application is working while it's not ready to interact with a user.
What does everyone here think? Should the splash screen always be in front, or should it be possible to put other windows in front? Am I missing something here?

Sometimes me too annoys that splash cannot be hidden by extraneous windows.

I didn't think a lot about it, but indeed, any GUI element, that cannot be overrided by other windows/elements is very annoying. If splash screen must be in front, I'd prefer separate "start window" rather, if anything.

I have to agree. Stellarium's splash screen can be covered by other windows, why can't Celestia's

I think it should be allowed to be covered by other windows too, in fact the Mac version of Celestia has always been like that

Well, it does not do that for the Win version, as such, we should allow the Splash in Windows to do the same too

I also agree that the celestia loading screen should not systematically overwrite other Windows windows.

I also think that the log that can be displayed by: ~ [return] should be able to be edited in a txt file for easier processing.

I kinda forgot about that issue as the latest 1.7 I'm using doesnt dosplay the splash screen at all anymore (which is also annoying cause I can't know if I sucessfully launched Celestia) but I agree the splash screen should be able to be hidden by other windows.

If so, then this is a much more acute problem.
