What's the concensus on labelling Components/SurfaceFeatures

I was thinking it might be good on occasion to be able to display labels of SurfaceFeatures and/or Components.
Currently, these are the only classes that don't exhibit the "glowing dot" at distance. Unfortunately they are also the only classes that don't have labels.
Was this deliberate? ...an oversight? ...or a side-effect of ridding them of the glowing dot behaviour?
I thought it might be good to allow at least one of these "non-glowing" classes to be labeled.
Thoughts, opinions anyone?

It's been a month, and no comments?
My personal opinion is that we should be able to display the labels of these 2 classes if we desire, just as for any other class. (and they should have their own checkbox in the Render Options)

the scientific sources for the surface features that Celestia uses are largely standardized.

Yes, labels need to be shown for both surface features and components. Right now, this is only possible through scripting. I'm a little concerned about adding yet another checkbox for the UI, but I don't have any ideas at the moment.

I assume you'll actually need
two extra checkboxes. (one for each class). ??
It seems to me that currently there's absolutely no actual functional difference between a Component and a SurfaceFeature (apart from the name), yet people will probably still want to have separate control over the labeling of each class.
I assume you might add differing attributes to each of these classes at some time in the future as their uses become more clearly defined.

It would help out if addon makers could add the showing of a label and/or dot (glowing) on a per addon basis or on a per object basis in the objects definitions.
