Latest Celestia Windows & macOS builds compiled from git (added a working macOS binary built with Qt5)

Pls check the latest notes...

WHAT FOR:

For getting bug fixes, new features, translations and ...

HOW TO:

In Mac: mount the .dmg and run Celestia.
In Windows: copy the files in the .zip to Celestia's root directory and run it or use the installer.

Notes
--------------------------
I use XCode 3.1.3 in Leopard to build it just like what MacOS platform says.
Now the latest version I've build is svn 4610.I will try to build a weekly version like cartrite's Win32 Executable from SVN

---- 1/9/2009
---------------------------
Use dropbox as the online disk to upload the latest version.

---- 2/10/2009
----------------------------
Use setting
in xcode. And the latest version should start up faster.

---- 3/14/2009
-----------------------------
Begin Win32 executable building.

---- 4/4/2009
-----------------------------
Test for linux user.

---- 4/19/2009
----------------------------
I am thinking about stopping compiling the windows version because there is Guillermo Abramson (http://cabfst28.cnea.gov.ar/~abramson/celestia/svnexec/) doing the job and I update much more slowly than him.

-----10/24/2009
-----------------------------
I think I should do something else like making the installer.
And Linux verison removed.

-----10/30/2009
----------------------------
Dropbox always bans my public links. So changed to Windows Live SkyDrive :(

-----2/6/2010
----------------------------
Add a Qt4 version

-----4/17/2010
----------------------------
since i am in senior high school now. the heavy schoolwork let there be rare time to do the work. a new update may take a long time to be here, especially the mac version.

-----8/17/2010
----------------------------
just found out that Celestia is back to life again, wow, great news! I haven't done any editing to this thread since more than 6 years ago but i decided to give it an update, the link below do not work but ill keep them unchanged until the github repo versions are compilable.

-----1/24/2017
----------------------------
there is a guy on github named Gattocrucco who fixed building on macOS, I used his fork to build a Qt version of the Celestia shown below. if anyone is interested, I provided a precompiled binary in the download section below. You can download and have a try for yourself, I am not sure if any dependency is needed.

Yes it is. Why such site like ML or CM would be censored? I really have no clue and like to know... :?

Funny expression, but I'm sad such inoffensive site as ML or CM are censored. I imagine not much from occident is available then... :?

The latest version is below.

SVN 4632
SVN 4632 HDR

Markerz, I just tried to access your links and got a Chinese page that seemed to be asking me for a password. Only a guess since, sadly, English and Italian are my only two languages at the moment. I would dearly love to have your newest Mac OS X version of celestia (that is what the links reference, isn't it?)

Markerz, does your new 1.6.1 version for Mac OS X include compatibility with the educational activities of the educational version of 1.5.1, which is currently only for Windows boxes?
