Im new too celestia and noticed people were creating planets on youtube and the addons

Have a look at Selden's very helpful web site and the page located HERE.
It may take you a while, but Selden's site offers the best guidance around in my opinion. :wink:

One thing to help you learn is to take an existing addon and play around with SSC file.
