Will Celestia compile with gcc 3.2

Post #1by Mark » 11.11.2002, 04:38

Celestia sounds exciting.
having my first go at compiling Celestia for linux on Mandrake 9
using gcc 3.2.

I noted the FAQ says " decent gcc compiler"

Before I post problem and make error logs.

Will gcc 3.2 work? and can I post make file errors here.

Thanks guys

Mark

Some changes were recently added to make Celestia compile with gcc 3.2 . . . You'll have grab the source from CVS or else wait for the new source distribution. Go to http://www.sourceforge.net to read about how to get Celestia from CVS.

Mangaged to compile

I got the CVS version to compile on gcc 3.2.

I had to tweak configure.in to make it generate the configure file, and I had
to use the right versions of autoconf and automake. Do a search on drjoe
for what I had to do.
