offering help to localize Celestia in Italian

Hi there 
I showed Celestia to my Dad, he has it on his computer. He loves it!! Nevertheless his knowledge of English is kinda limited (not that mine is so much superior 
)
I did not see any project to localize Celestia in any language, so I would like to offer my help.
I have a *very* limited experience with c/c++ (which I understand is the language used for this exe), but if anyone can point to me where the strings to be localized are placed I could translate them into italian and then post them somwhere so that a localized version could be compiled.
