Mac OS X Leopard 10.5 - compatible

I just tried running Celestia on my friend's MacBook Core 2 Duo running Mac OS X 10.5.
Conclusion: it works great.
Actually it runs the same as before, no speed changes etc.
I did notice fuzzy stars looked like point stars on the MacBook, suggesting that point sprites are (still?) not supported.
Is else is also seeing points instead of fuzzy points on their MacBook? Tiger or Leopard, I'd be interested to know.

I'm interested to know if the new sprite method is working under Leopard. Currently, sprites are crashing my Mac's video card under OS X 10.4, but what about the drivers with OS X 10.5 ?

I don't know at this point - it may be point sprites are simply broken on the Intel GMA 950 (MacBook).
Supposedly Apple made a lot of improvements to the Mac OpenGL subsystem for 10.5, but whether these changes apply to legacy (PowerPC) systems is still up in the air. There are no publicly available docs from Apple yet, and no discussion on the mac-opengl list - yet.

The point sprites problem is graphics hardware (or driver) specific. On my MacBook Pro with a GeForce 8600, sprites work just fine on OS X 10.4.

Thanks for the feedback Chris, but I was wondering more if the lack of point sprites on the GMA 950-based MacBook was due to changes in Leopard, or just not supported on the MacBook to begin with.

Ah, I didn't read carefully enough. I saw the term 'point sprites' and immediately assumed that you were talking about the crashes that occurred when using point sprite cmods.
