Tinted illumination for planets

Some thoughts I had after viewing this thread on Solar Voyager.

Is tinted illumination for planets around red or blue stars necessary or realistic? Even if the effect would occur, is it exaggerated too much in Celestia?

If the planets were illuminated instead by white light, add-on creators would have more freedom in choosing just how tinted they want the planet to appear by tweaking relevant colour values, rather than having it forced by the built-in lighting model.

Although the reddening of the planet around a red dwarf looks nice at times, I don't think it's realistic. As far as I know, Celestia is for achieving realistic effects. So I would support the removal of this colouration poisoning (so to speak).

I second the motion, but I think that users should be able to turn coloration on and off at their pleasure.

Hey, I think that's a good idea.
