Can not update CVS via Tortoise

Post #1by Adirondack » 07.09.2006, 10:52

Since days I'm trying to update my local CVS with Tortoise.
My local CVS is the final 1.4.1, I want to update to 1.5.0preX, but Tortoise remarks that the server does not answer (time out).
Is this a common problem or did I miss necessary changes (settings or properties in Tortoise)?

although it's been a while since this has changed the "new" hostname for the cvs-server is celestia.cvs.sourceforge.net
most recent celestia win32-SVN-build - use at your own risk (copy over existing 1.5.1 release)

Thanks, phoenix.
Since I'm not at home right now I can't check this.
But I think I did use this hostname (or is it newer than the final 1.4.1?).

the old hostname was "cvs.sourceforge.net" for all projects on sourceforge.
this changed in apr'06 when every project got it's own subdomain.

Indeed, It changed to celestia.cvs.sourceforge.net. Also, I think that someone suggested that a fresh checkout was needed for some reason dealing with the new address.
