I have now committed my major globular cluster update to SVN, after extensive
discussions of the patch in the forum etc.
The affected files are
deepskyobj.cpp deepskyobj.h galaxy.cpp galaxy.h
globular.cpp globular.h render.cpp texture.cpp

Significant Update Patch to my Globular Package for Testing
Re: Significant Update Patch to my Globular Package for Testing
Fridger, I do love these globular clusters you made. I haven't tried the updated patch yet but sure they will look great. I was thinking about using the globular cluster generator to add some solar systems on the outskirts of some of the clusters. Imagine a sky on a world close to one of those.
I have a science question, what would the average distance between stars be inside one of the clusters?

Reiko,
First of all: I do like your new Avatar!!
Second: the avaerage star distance in globulars is not a relevant scale, since the star density varies so enormously between the core and the cluster periphery! You can look up the various cluster radii [ly] in the data file globulars.dsc and then you can use that the number of globular stars varies between 10^4 and 10^7!

Re: Significant Update Patch to my Globular Package for Testing
In SVN r4633, I have removed some name and mu25 isophote radius
inconsistencies for the globulars Terzan 11,12 and 4,9,10 . These contradictions exist in my used scientific catalogs. I decided giving preference to SIMBAD in this respect, however.
