Hi
I've just started translating the strings into Romanian language but i sort-of got stock at strings like:"RA: ", " LT" and other 2 letters strings like that. Is it possible to put some comments next to this strange strings (it looks like the program supports it) to give some more clues, or the full words in case of abbreviations?

thanks

xyz,

Indeed, we could have added some comments to give more information about the meaning of such abbreviations.
I guess we hadn't because they sound quite familiar to most confirmed users:
    - RA = Right Ascension
    - LT = Light Travel (displayed next to the date when pressing hyphen '-')

Please, don't hesitate to ask here if you need some more help.
And thanks for taking care of the Romanian translation. :)

I just fixed a bug that prevented UTF-8 characters from being displayed in
the Windows Tour Guide. Then, I could switch all guide_LL.cel files to UTF-8
encoding, except guide_ko.cel and guide_ja.cel -- I don't have the Korean
nor the Japanese characters sets installed on my system.

So, I would be greatful to anybody who could help me converting the guide_ko.cel
and guide_ja.cel files from ANSI to UTF-8 encoding. These files can be downloaded
from: http://en.wikibooks.org/w/index.php?tit ... able_files

UTF-8 conversion can be done using, e.g., Notepad2 or Notepad++ (choose UTF-8 'without BOM').

Thanks! :)

Hi Vincent

Thank you, that works. :)

Is the display below with a popup menu, a manifestation of a similar bug?

 I return by PM at your intention the files demo_fr.cel and guide_fr.cel with minor corrections.

A+

EDIT: Sorry I didn’t find how to send a file in the PM. So I put it here

Yes, that's indeed a similar bug. It only happens with DSO names that contain UTF-8 characters.
I just fixed it on my mystem (see screenshots below). I'll soon check the one-line fix in SVN.
