Hello,
I'm interested in using the data in the both the default Celestia stars.dat and the extended stars list (http://celestiamotherlode.net/creators/ ... _1.4.0.zip) for a little project. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a document describing how the file is organized so I can pull out the information. So is there any such documentation and if so, how do I go about getting my hands on it? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

As for stars.dat, you can get the text version of the file from the CVS :
