A New Icon For Celestia

Post #1by D.Edwards » 21.07.2002, 12:43

Hey Everyone and especialy Chris.
I have created a new icon for Celestia based on the idea of the old one. Take a look at it http://homepage.mac.com/donald_edwards/ ... G-link.JPG
Its fully scaled from 128x128-72x72-64x64-48x48-32x32-16x16 and is in Windows XP format, true color format, and 256 color format.
Actually I created a couple of them. The one posted and a few with no black background. Let me know if anyone wants it and Chris if your out there if you want to use it for the next release please be my guest. I will sent it to you if you want it.

All my files there are now down. Until I can find a good hosting site I would have to email it to you. Let me know if you still want the icon. Accually there are a few of them.

One thing I always request of software packages is an xp-style alpha-blended icon, and a 48x48 version included as well.

Send the ZIP to claurel@shatters.net. Any chance that you could make a 128.x128 folder icon, too?

I could if I could get a good image of an XP style folder at that resolution. Of cousre Win XP doesn't have built in icons at that resolution so I am trying to figure out how do it without the icons looking like garbage. I do have a graphite OSX style Celestia folder in XP format. I will through that in as a stopgap until I can figure out how to one in the XP look and feel. I didn't make the OSX folder and it wasn't made for Celestia per-say but it should do the job.
