I've been looking for data on stars to use for an assignment that I'm doing. I have come across information stored in stars.txt under the data section of celesita?€™s source and I was wondering what this information related to. I?€™m planning to use this data to test a basic AI program that I have written. This program would be able to take known information such as its brightness, class and distance from the sun and use it to calculate the surface temp or use know data to produce a system that can estimate relationships with know data. The questions basic are what does the information in stars.txt relate to and can anyone think of a simple data analysis application for my program.
