Hi,
You are both working in the osX port of Celestia isn't it? So, as a newbie, non programer, a few questions:
- Are there some kinds of priorities in the port? (which ones?)
- Is there is a big difference between the linux version and the osX one? (osX is based on unix...)
- At is 100% the port will be identical to the pc version?
On my powerbook G4 (10.3.7) with the ultimate release (1.4prv6-20050201), I get the same problem than Cham with the browser... (no need to respond to this); for the rest all seems to work perfectly.
- Do you know if a kind of measuring tool is in development in the pc version? (distance between too stars, etc...)?
- What about the full screen option on osX?
A big Thanks for both (and others perhaps) for giving us (osX users) the chance of using such a fascinating program.
Bye.

Hank told me he's been cleaning up the code (interface elements) recently. My current priorities are bug fixes - for example I'm trying to eliminate a jerk-back issue when opening a context menu, then zooming.
I'm not really sure about the Linux version -- I know you can compile a 1.4.0pre6 version, but not really sure what features you get. The gui code is completely separate and different from the OS X code, so it's probably comparing apples to oranges.
Feature parity is a big priority (for me personally, at least), but some of the more spectacular bugs need to be fixed first. I actually have full screen mode working on my machine, but I'm not going to release it until I finish fixing bugs discovered in the 20050201 build. Some osx devs have volunteered to take on movie and image capture, etc but they haven't been saying much recently.
