This is all based on scripted paths of objects, not actual physics right?

If for "actual physics" you mean "newtonian", no; being the mass set apart. Given the initial bodies' conditions at epoch, the program does simulating the keplerian evolutions in real time. No "scripted path" is followed for further epoch, just the simulation do that. "scripted paths" are one of the internal features (the scripting CELX/LUA language) for allows users to customize their worlds, or 3d spacecrafts, etc. which can be inserted within.
Never at rest.
