ASCII CMOD: What is ' texture1 "filename" ' ?

Post #1by EarthMoon » 29.10.2022, 14:22

I coded a bit with CMOD models and I found a weird property "texture1" (https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Celestia/3D_Models/CMOD_File, it should stand near the upper screen edge).
I tried it out with CmodView, but it errors: "Error reading .cmod file!".

What does "texture1" do?
How to use it?
Crew: "We are orbiting a black hole."
Control Center: "Do not fly too close to the black hole!"
Crew: "OH OOPS..."

Celestia versions:
1.6.3, 1.7.0 sRGB, 1.6.1 ED (plain)

Current projects:
Celestial (a Celestia-like program written in Python)

this is unimplemented property. 1.6 has one reference to texture1 in disabled code. i have removed its mention from wikibooks.
