memory-access error

when i want to go to saturn or uranus (both planets have rings around them) celestia closes and prints something like "memory-access error" into the x-term window (i've startet celestia there). i'm using Linux (kernel 2.4.10), Mesa 4.0.2 (openGL driver). my graphics card is a matrox g200. The next thing is, there isn't a popup menu when i rightklick on a star, planet, etc..
and, when i start celestia, it prints "Parent body 'BD -10 3166' of 'b' not found." [newline] "fv: 6" into the x-term window. would be nice to know what this means....
