Earth appears WHITE

I'm running the MacOS X version, and it's great. One problem, the Earth renders as all white, no texture. Is there any user fix for this or will this wait for an update?
Thanks!

i just got version 1.2.2 and have the same problem as you did.
i thought maybe the texture is too large for my graphics card, tried the
lowres version --> no change
everything worked fine in 1.1.1
how did you solve that ?
please, please tell me.
by the way clouds work on earth, night lights don't

I had this problem in v1.2.2 for windows. I solved it by changing
"Earth" "Sol"
{
# Texture "earth.png"
Texture "earth8k.dds"
to
"Earth" "Sol"
{
Texture "earth.png"
Texture "earth8k.dds"
in the file "solarsys.ssc"
Works fine now, great program! The new textures looks wonderful!

I screwed up and released a version of Celestia with a bad solarsys.ssc . . . I'll be fixing this today. Anyhow, editing the solarsys.ssc file will work fine.
