Does anyone know how to add a galaxy add-on correctly? I've tried with Jim's M31 and M104 (both versions), but all I can see is the code that appeared on the screen. I don't know why they don't work, because I followed up the "install_me text" or what's it called. So I have put them in the extra folder, created an new map, and put them in the data/models/medres folder. Still of no use. Mind you, I've installed it accordingly. Then I thought, maybe it's because of the deepsky.dsc that the program is confused what to pick. It could be I've disabled with # wrong. The problem is that he can't find them.

Can someone or anyone please help me? I'm quite dejected at the moment.

They should help you to understand how to install the addons, whether or not the readme files that come with them are correct.
