Hi
I?ve got an intel 915G graphic controller and when i run Celestia the Moon appears all coloured in purple, green, blue, etc. It?s beautiful but I would prefer the gray style. What can I do? I have the latest drivers for my adapter. All other planets and satellites appears normal.
Problem with Intel 915G graphic controller
Alberto,
If you look closely, you will see that Mars has a funny color, too.
There are bugs in Intel's GL_ARB_vertex_program routine. It does not display bumpmaps and normal maps properly, giving them a funny purple color instead of drawing shadows on the sides of mountains. Celestia provides bumpmaps for both the Moon and Mars.
To see the proper coloration, edit the file Celestia\celestia.cfg Remove the # that's at the beginning of the line
# IgnoreGLExtensions [ "GL_ARB_vertex_program"
Sorry.
