How does it look whan you use previous versions of Celestia? (e.g. 1.3.1-1 final) I don't have that model on the system I'm using right now, so I can't easily check it myself.

I think this is an old problem that's been in Celestia ever since DSC Nebula models became possible:
the points in a Nebula's mesh are not depth sorted by Celestia. They're drawn in the order that they're specified in the model file.

And the improvements in depth detection that were implemented in pre10 for SSC models don't apply to DSC models

Yes, it is present in 1.3.1 final also. It happens when the mesh is turned to the opposite end from the stopping point of a goto. It only happens on that end.
