JestrNight causes sobreposition,at least in 1.3.2 pre7

Well,Jestr,I installed the JestrNight in the correct place JestrEarth>textures>hires, but it didn?t work.Worse than this, the texture causes sobreposition in OpenGL rendering mode, this is,I saw America and half a globe before,I saw half of Africa again sobrepositioned with a ghostly Asia. When I put another night texture in the textures>hires(not in JestrEarth),eveything work fine.So the problem is either with your texture or with 1.3.2 pre 7 code.
Other thing,I tried to download your marsnormal masp 46m VT,but it appears that isn?t a valid archive. It is lacking about 6000 bytes

Hi Daniel,I'm not sure I can help with the night texture (maybe its all too much for your graphics card)-I am in the process of uploading a whole new set of DDS Earth textures-maybe these will work better on your system. Thanks for bringing the corrupt Mars Normal VT file to my attention-I have uploaded a newer version of the same file-it is in the same directory as before
http://www.ibiblio.org/celestia/creators/jestr/Mars%20m46%2016k%20Normal%20PNG.zip
ignore the other file which you have already downloaded with the similar name, all the best Jestr

Sorry, yes you need it.I forgot to include it.If you have my m46 shaded VT for a texture-this will already have the line for the NormalMap,but it points to the m46Normal PNG.ctx.
OK,you should have a folder structure like this-

Code: Select all

Celestia/extras/Mars m46shaded VT
                                  |
                                  |___Mars m46 shaded JPG.ssc
                                  |___textures
                                                 |___hires
                                                             |
                                                             |_m46Normal PNG
                                                             |         |__level0
                                                             |         |__level1
                                                             |         |__level2
                                                             |         |__level3
                                                             |
                                                             |_m46shaded JPG
                                                             |          |__level0
                                                             |          |__level1
                                                             |          |__level2
                                                             |          |__level3
                                                             |
                                                             |___m46Normal PNG.ctx
                                                             |___m46shaded JPG.ctx

The new NormalMap folder is called however
Mars m46 16k Normal PNG
you should rename it to the same as the original,ie
m46Normal PNG
and put in the hires folder like above,so long as you have the original ctx for the normal map it will all work fine.If you dont have the original it looks like this

Code: Select all

VirtualTexture
{
        ImageDirectory "m46Normal PNG"
        BaseSplit 0
        TileSize 1024
        TileType "png"
}

I have recently made a DDS (DXT3) version of both the surface and Normal maps which I will try to upload in the next week or so.
Hope all this helps anyhow, any more problems I'm sure you will let me know, all the best Jestr
