Celestia v1.3.1pre11: no complaint about damaged STC file

No error message is shown in Celestia's "log console" when it tries to load this .STC file, but Celestia does not recognize the star. It should at least complain "error in STC file (filename) " and preferably be specific ("unrecognized keyword 'xyzzy' " maybe?).
Here's all it shows:
