Crash

Just downloaded Celestia-lores-win32-1.2.3.exe. Tried to run program but all it would do is open a window (the outside widow frame only), and then lock up my computer. Running a AMD K6-2-400 CPU, 325megs RAM, Diamond 8meg Graphics card under Wndows 98. Any suggestions?
