When looked at from certain viewpoints, very simple deepsky objects are only partially drawn.
Here's one example:
Note that the upper left corner is missing from the picture of M42. It's just a texture on the front of a simple square object.

This problem is seen in Celestia v1.3.1pre10. I've seen it in earlier versions, too.

And the dark matter simulation glows blue sometimes
Yeah check out the dark matter add-on, glows blue, also gets holes at certain angles. Ran out of its 3d rendering room maybe?

I see it with pre11 too. It's just interesting, and goes away if the object is oriented differently.
