v1.3.1p10: deep sky objects only partially drawn

When looked at from certain viewpoints, very simple deepsky objects are only partially drawn.

Here's one example:

Note that the upper left corner is missing from the picture of M42. It's just a texture on the front of a simple square object.

Full details, inclucing a 305KB zip archive and Cel://URLs to reproduce the problem are described at http://www.lns.cornell.edu/~seb/celestia/m78-bug.html

This problem is seen in Celestia v1.3.1pre10. I've seen it in earlier versions, too.

System:
256MB 500MHz P3, WinXP Pro SP1
128MB GF4 Ti4200, Detonator 45.23 whql, OpenGL 1.4
Celestia v1.3.1 pre10 and eariler

And the dark matter simulation glows blue sometimes

Yeah check out the dark matter add-on, glows blue, also gets holes at certain angles. Ran out of its 3d rendering room maybe?

I see it with pre11 too. It's just interesting, and goes away if the object is oriented differently.
