Celestia crash at startup on Linux

My system:
Linux 2.4.20-xfs #1 SMP Die Dez 10 20:07:25 CET 2002 i686 AMD Duron(tm) processor AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
My videocard:
VGA compatible controller: 3Dfx Interactive, Inc. Voodoo 3 (rev 01) (prog-if 00 [VGA])
X-window: XFree86 version 4.2.1.1
KDE version 3.1.2

I compiled the Celestia 1.3.0 version for Linux following
this directives:
./configure --with-qt-dir=/usr/share/qt3/ --with-kde

After issuing: make;make install
and running the program I receive the following error:

Parent body 'BD -10 3166' of 'b' not found.
fv: 6
The program 'celestia' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
(Details: serial 193 error_code 8 request_code 144 minor_code 5)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

and these are the last lines shown inside 'gdb':

I will be grateful for any help on this subject or any clues to resolve the problem.
