Comet tail bug

I tested out some Horizons .xyzv data for C/2013 A1 (Siding Spring) and I found a bug:

Celestia: 1.7.0
OS: Windows 11 64bit
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU (ignore this) 650 @ 3.20GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.3GHz
RAM: 8192MB
DirectX: 12
Graphics: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 450
Graphics Memory: 226MB
Crew: "We are orbiting a black hole."
Control Center: "Do not fly too close to the black hole!"
Crew: "OH OOPS..."

Celestia versions:
1.6.3, 1.7.0 sRGB, 1.6.1 ED (plain)

Current projects:
Celestial (a Celestia-like program written in Python)

Looks to be another depth sorting bug.

But it's weird that it just glitches when orbits are disabled :biggrin:

this has already been reported by PK on the discord server, but he said he was using 1.6.2.2. this bug shouldnt even happen on 1.7.0 since i already reported a similar bug a few months back, and it got fixed for good. are you using the windows installer created by cartrite? if so, that uses a build from february, which was before this bug was fixed (17th of august). you should use the latest master build from here, but unfortunately the latest few builds have a VERY annoying bug
