Continuing Crashes...

I continue to get crashes. As another new example, every time I
start Celestia and choose Hale-Bopp from the catalog and GOTO, the
screen shifts, it travels almost to Hale-Bopp (just as is starts to enlarge
from a dot), and Celestia crashes ("access violation") on WinNT4.
This precise scenario is the M.O. for most of the crashes I'm getting,
and happens with mostly the smaller objects (moons,asteroids,etc.).

I also get a lot of crashes moving around the fictitious 18SCO solar
system, although I don't know if Chris supports other peoples
fictional areas of space.

Continuing Crashes...

I just did a test. I went to Canopus and went to every moon 1 by 1.
Then I did the same thing with Na'ir Al Saif's solar system - went to
every moon in the system with no problems. Then, I went back to
18 SCO, picked Corssaco (many moons), and Celestia crashed as
I described ealier in this thread.

If someone could figure out what the differences are between the
fictional Canopus and Na'ir systems, and 18SCO, you might come
up with a hypothesis why 18SCO crashes and the other ones don't

Im pretty sure its the asteroid.cms and other 3ds type files...Not that theres anything wrong with then, since they seemed to work fine in version 1.2.1...If I remember correctly that is...I replaced the asteroids in 18 Sco with custom made ones and it no longer crashed...Also in 18sco.ssc, the planet Amor...put a # in fromt of the BlendTexture true or just remove it...I think it was causing the crash but I have no idea for sure...All I know is the asteroids are mainly the problem...

BTW, Chris what is BlendTexture true used for?
