Verions 1.2.3 lies + Moon texture

These are really minor bugs.
1. Version 1.2.3 simply lies if you ask it about it: it says it is version 1.2.2 instread 1.2.3.
2. As pointed out in the user forum moon's craters seems convex instead of concave, I used the moon's map proposed in the forum.

I've increased its brightness, I also increased 4 times the Moon's BunpHeight in solarsys.ssc and IMO I've got a very realistic realistic Moon

I think that Chris can consider to use these map and bump settings to increase the Celestia realism.

The albedo map looks great with bump mapping . . . I'll be switching to this texture for the moon. However, I'd really like to find a higher resolution version of the texture. Does anyone know if there's a larger version of the Clementine map? I haven't been able to find one.

You might take a look at the NASA Planetary Data System MAP-A-PLANET website:

I guess that the main role for good rendering is played by the bump map.
IMO you can try to use an hires bump map over a lowser enlarged albedo map and you still ave a beautiful moon.

I've got a 5760x2880 jpg of the moon, don't know if it's the Clemintine one you're after cos I can't remember where I got it. It's 6.22 meg at the moment... could upload it to the web if you want. It's got a mildly annoying horizontal brightness-gradient/line running along what looks like 60deg N.

Thanks for this link . . . I got a 4096x2048 albedo map of the Moon now. It needs some tweaking, as there are a few missing areas that are just black, but I think it looks much better than the old map.
