Hi eveybody.
I'm retrieving this old topic from "chrisr" (2009), 'cause I have the same problem.
I apologise in advance if I did not see any existing update about that and I summarize it again.
I have an i5 quad-core iMac (OS Lion 10.7.3) and I have the last Celestia version (1.6.1).
Here is what happens when I switch to windowed-mode:
- start off in windowed-mode: OK
- switch to full-screen: OK
- switch back to windowed-mode: not OK (screen changes as colors and so on).
I have to restart Celestia to fix the problem.
Could it be an operating system problem ?
Is there any planned fix for that ?

This is a very well known bug in Celestia, on OS X, since a pretty long time now. Chris doesn't know how to solve it.

Don't hold your breath for a correction to this nasty bug (it could crash Celestia). Celestia's development is on the halt state, especially for the OS X version....
