Version 1.2.3 Report

I got Version 1.2.3 today - Still have some problems.
1. It's certain now that those checkerboard anomalies happen just
when eclipses are supposed to happen - I emailed Chris the pictures.
2. I still get no night-side lights (ctrl-L) of any kind on Earth.
3. Am I crazy, but shouldn't the inner moons of Jupiter be orbiting
around in the same direction as Jupiter revolves around it's axis? I
think the Saturn system is doing the same thing. Maybe it was wrong
in earlier versions.

I'm still very confused about what's happening here . . . haven't made much progress yet.

You're not crazy . . . I introduced a sign error in the elliptical orbit calculation. Stupid stupid stupid. There will be a fix very soon . . .

Go to the OpenGL Info option under the Help menu and check if GL_EXT_texture_env_combine is listed in the supported extensions section.

Chris - Here is the whole list that comes up. No, GL_EXT_texture_env_combine does not appear on this list. Maybe this
listing will help you understand why I get the "checkerboard" eclipses
because maybe other routines are missing. - Vic

Actually I am crazy, but besides that I knew something was astrophysically
wrong. The strange thing is sometimes while you're zooming around, you
lose track of what's up and what's down (of course there's no such thing
in space) but i.e. - if I visit Jupiter, I'll look for the great red spot to know
what's conventionally considered up and down while looking at Jupiter.
