Rendering of transparent objects changed

Sometime between builds 4382 and 4679 the rendering of semi-transparent meshes has changed.

This is the effect on Runar's Island One:

Build 4382:

Build 4679:

RC2:

Runar encloses many of his models in transparent boxes, so this could effect many of them (and probably some of mine as well).

CC,

Unfortunately, Runar's Island One is no longer available.
The effect is visible in his Ran III Addon when using Celestia 1.6.0rc3 to view Hroenn at
cel://Follow/Ran:Hroenn:Hroenn%20Space% ... rc=0&ver=3

However, I don't see the effect with my Hale Telescope Addon. It uses multiple small transparent cubes displaced along the axes of its models. I also don't see it with a new model which I created just for this test, which uses a large transparent box as a boundary.

p.s.
This image is with ambient light turned up slightly. The cubes are visible with ambient light off, but they're harder to see.

I've narrowed it down slightly more: r4666 draws Hroenn OK. r4671 draws the cubes.
( I suspect a fix, if it's possible, will have to wait until v1.6.1)

FYI, I've logged this bug on Sourceforge.

I get those odd cubes in the RAN III add on now. :(
