Disappearing Atmospheres (1.6.0 RC1)

Post #1by PlutonianEmpire » 09.05.2009, 21:06

In Celestia 1.6.0 RC1, when I'm on the surface of a planet with an OpenGL 2.0 atmosphere, the atmosphere disappears in certain zooms when looking at a particular direction above the horizon, when I'm located in a particular altitude above the ground.

Here's a link:

Just raise or lower the direction you are looking, and the atmosphere displays again.

My computer: HP Pavilion dv6815m laptop, 1 GB NVIDIA Geforce Go 7150m graphics, 2 GH AMD Turion 64 Mobile Tech TL-60 processor, 3 GB RAM, Windows Vista Home Premium.

I've had the issue before as well, in 1.5.1, too.
Current Setup:
Windows 7 64 bit. Celestia 1.6.0.
AMD Athlon Processor, 1.6 Ghz, 3 Gb RAM
ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics
