I believe that that's because the people who started the Celestia web ring
no longer support it. At least, that has been MY experience. You can still
find most of the original sites via Google.

Okay and the person who is taking care of the site, please remove that link because it isn't useful any more.

Actually, the person who created it (Marc Griffith, the author of the Celestia variant "Mostly Harmless") went on "walkabout" and has never been heard from again.

One can hope that he found a more fulfilling lifestyle and that nothing unfortunate happened to him.

If I may...

The development of Celestia and ALL of the related add-ons, textures,
programs, web sites, etc. are done on a voluntary basis. Sometimes,
things just HAPPEN to the volunteers. I was away for over a year simply
because I was in the hospital for a year. Are you going to criticize me
for coming back? Or, for getting sick in the first place? No ill will intended
here, but things can happen to people. You know?

Please just give the guys a break... I'm - as ever - simply thankful for
this spectacular program and ALL of it's contributor's.

Inasmuch as it seems to be extremely unlikely that the previous manager of the Celestia Web Ring will ever return, maybe it would be appropriate for someone else to take it over.

The WebRing service used by the now-broken WebRing should be fine. I believe it was the various upgrades to SourceForge which caused the WebRing to stop working. As I recall, a lot of thought went into the choice of a Ring service, since it needed to have no advertisements and also be cheap or free.

I'll do it and will be carefull with what I do.
(when I can't improve it, I won't touch it)

I'll use Filezilla and are going to need the information of the site to add the ftp server. (Please send in a private message.)
