Windows has encountered a problem.....(XP)

I recall someone asking this before, but can't find it now :?
I kept getting this too, especially when zooming in on a planet.
I was probably expecting a lot for a business oriented laptop (Lenovo 3000N100 with Intel graphic chip) but I did solve it; I hope it my be of some help to others.

In my case, under OpenGL properties, I set Driver Memory Footprint to LOW. That cured the crashes, but the video ain't quite so good!

It's nice to feel that your first posting to a forum is not simply a dumb question!

Celestia crashes are almost invariably caused by obsolete, buggy graphics drivers. An update for your graphics hardware should be available on the Web site of the company that made your laptop.

I have at least one crash that can simply be attributed to a bug in the Celestia source code. ;) Explanation in the 3rd post of the this thread.
