Small objects become emissive at distance....

Basically as objects become smaller (as you increase distance or FOV) they appear to become overwhelmed by emissive bright dots.
This may well be a deliberately designed feature in order to make them more visible at distances where they are only a few pixels or less in size, and as such is probably quite a good feature in some ways.
In fact in points and fuzzy modes, it can actually be quite an attractive feature, as it generally activates at quite appropriate sizes (at least with my models), and makes them glow in the distance.
However, this apparent increased emissiveness causes problems in scaled discs mode in 1.4.1. I don't know about openGL paths as I still haven't got a decent graphics card.
Anyway the problem is that the objects get washed out by the emissive behaviour BEFORE their size decreases significantly.
If this IS a deliberate feature, I suspect it's possibly being activated too soon, especially in scaled discs mode.

Here's some captures from 1.4.1 to show the effect...I haven't got 1.5.0 installed on this machine, so I'll investigate 1.5.0 on the other machine and post some 1.5.0 pics for comparison later.
