Galileo has a BUG

Post #1by Borg Collective » 25.11.2002, 11:04

When we want to "Go to" Galileo Spacecraft, "CELESTIA" crashes.
Suggestions?

"It works fine for me."

My guess would be that you need to update the graphics drivers for your video card. You should be able to download them from the web site of the card manufacturer or of the company that made your computer system. Less likely possibilites would be that either you have a corrupted copy of the Galileo model or your card (or system) has a hardware problem.

For more detailed help, you'll have to supply the exact details of your configuration, what version of Celestia you're running, and what command you used to goto Galileo.

For example: I have a 256MB 500MHz Pentium 3 (Asus P2B-DS motherboard), running Windows XP Pro (sp1), Nvidia GeForce4 4200 128MB with Detonator 40.72 WHQL drivers and Celestia v1.2.5 prerelease 7.

To goto Galileo I used the command
<Enter>
Celestia prompted with "Target:" I typed
galileo<Enter>
cg

I also tried this using Celestia v1.2.4 with many addons and rendering modes enabled.. That worked fine, too. It also worked when I used the menu option "Solar System Browser", selected "Galileo" and then clicked on the "Center" and "Goto" buttons.

I hope this helps a little.
