1.5.0 bug - can't load with this SSC
Yet, I tried both files (STC and SSC without the comment) and it worked without a problem. As soon as the comments are in the STC file, Celestia crash at startup, trying to load the STC file.
"Well! I've often seen a cat without a grin", thought Alice; "but a grin without a cat! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in all my life!"
Definitely wierd now. It's now actually crashing at loadup if the quad.stc file is loaded (and I've completely removed the comment code) - the error message says that the crash is caused by ntdll.dll - and it actually gets to loading info_galaxies (which is past the deepsky.dsc) when this happens.
I'll try getting things from CVS, but til then I'll have to go back to the 1.4.1 executable which works fine.

I gave up on CVS, I downloaded the celestia_cvs_latest.zip file from Phoenix' site at http://www.purebytes.de/stuff/celestia/ and unzipped that over a copy of the 1.4.1 Celestia folder.
The code seems to work fine using that (so that is a compiled 1.5.0 with all the files it needs).
Bizarrely enough, the CVS build also works fine with the comments still there in the quad.stc code (with no extra lines after them).
So I have no clue what's going on here... but it seems to work fine with a full 1.5.0 *shrug*

I checked in a fix to correctly handle end-of-file in a comment line. I don't know for certain that this was the cause of the reported problem, but it's definitely some that needed to be fixed. I did verify that prior to my change, a comment line that wasn't terminated by end-of-file rather than a return character would cause Celestia to hang. With the fix, the file is loaded without problems.

I don't know if it's a bug, but after adding some more asteroid orbits I'm basically finding that I can't select/target some of them via text entry. If there is a bug, I think it's that if I go to a barycentre I can't target all objects that are children/descendants of that barycentre (which I think would make more sense).
Is that a bug or is it deliberately set up like that? And yes, this is now with a proper 1.5.0 install.
