I'm running Win 98 Pent III 320Mg of ram. KDS 445 on an ATI 3D Rage Pro (ATIR3) Celstia ver.1.40.
I can change the day, and the year, but no matter what I do I cannot change the month.
Celstia will only let me use the main keyboard numerals, (the keypad will not work) Caps lock:off/on, Num lock off/on nothing changes.
I worry that I am doing somthing wrong....but I tried all the tricks that my tired old mind has up it's sleeve

Louis,
FWIW, on my XP system when I type a number from above the main keyboard into the month field, it gets set to the appropriate month (1=Jan, 11 = November), although it doesn't accept letters.
Are you saying this doesn't work for you?
Also, the numeric keypad is set by Celestia to be in "application mode", so some of those keys act like the arrow keys, for example, not as numbers.

Selden;
Thanks again. I do love this program and when I love something the learning curve usually flattens out, but,....there is a LOT to learn about Celestia!
O/T I'm going to drop the Louis Wu 'nome de plume.
I'd rather just be Steve, do I need to set up a new message board account?
