Friends,
This is a report and requires no reply. My system is a dual-processor (1.25Ghz each) Power Mac G4 (MDD) with 1GB of RAM and an ATI Radeon 9000 (AGP) graphics card. I am running on the latest updates to the OS version I am using.
When attempting to load Celestia, I found that it would perform two of the the three splash 'travels', freezing the system on the third one and necessitating a reboot. After reading the 'Troubleshooting' section of the ReadMe, I de-rem'd the line:
# IgnoreGLExtensions [ "GL_ARB_vertex_program" ]
and this solved the startup problem.
I report this so that the development community is aware of the issue, as suggested by the ReadMe. Thanks for all, you do.
Byron
