Were is 1280 x 1024???
Ah Chris I don't know if this is a bug or just short sightness but were the heck is 1280x1024 FullScreen. This is like one of the major resolutions and you still haven't built in support fot it. The letterbox modes are great if you have a monitor with that aspec ratio but most of us don't. So how about giving us the ability to go to 1280x1024 at fullscreen mode. It would smooth out textures alot better and some of us could cut back from using 4x anti-aliasing. Just a thought I hope you will consider.

Hmmm.
Then I guess I have to point the finger at the all mighty NVidia. I have had this problem with every driver version since I first started using Celestia. I guess I will have to live with 1152x864 for now. I just don't understand why Celestia can't get the in resolutions from the OpenGL IDC like a game can. I am able to run many OpenGL games beyond 1280x1024. I hope we can nail this down soon.

Is 1280x1024 x?Hz listed as being available in XP's display properties popup? I'm wondering if maybe you've got the refresh rated cranked up enough that XP doesn't believe that your hardware will support that resolution at that refresh rate.
Also, exactly which card and driver version are you using?
(I'm sure you've mentioned it before, but I don't recall)
1280x1024 is available with the Ti4200 I installed last night. That's the resolution I used when making sure that the texture problem was gone that I'd been having with the Voodoo5 card.
I'm running my display at only 60Hz since I'm one of the (lucky?) people who can't see flicker at that refresh rate.
The card is a VisionTek Xtasy AGP Nvidia GeForce4 Ti4200 128MB.
(whew, that's a mouthful) Bios version 4.25.0028 with Detonator v30.82. Celestia's help window says it's using OpenGL version 1.3.1.
