When a model is a moon it is not affected by the color of the sun. There is no blend applied as with other planets. As a planet it does however.
Also as a moon there is a crash. A pointer error. This happens in certain instances and not with other models. The certain cmod file I used as a moon only crashes with this certain other cmod file as the planet. The further away from the planet it is placed the more likely the crash. Both models have been repetedly remade and used with other models. The crash only occurs when the two are moon and planet. One model has transparent rings so i thought that if another model were used as a moon that the same crash would occur. And no it does not. It seems the problem is when you have a mesh thats been split into sections (a sphere split into 4 sections) combined with a mesh that has transparent rings (those rings were split due to a bug in 3d studio max that flips the final faces mapping that face was detached and flipped correctly), Celestia crashes. I will try more combinations but I decided to make it a planet instead where I found the first bug I reported. I couldnt even begin to tell you what could cause this bug except just do not combine these types of meshes.
