I have now installed 1.3.2 final and have noticed that I can't see the NEAR spacecraft on the surface of Eros, when using jestr's new MajorAsteroids_1.3.2pre10_or_later package.
On closer inspection I've noticed that my NEAR add-on is not being loaded by Celestia.
If I remove the entire "Replace Eros" settings from jestr's new .ssc, and have Celestia revert back to the original Eros settings from within the, asteroids.ssc in the main data folder, I am able to view the spacecraft OK.
I've installed the new asteroids add-on in a folder I call "asteroids and comets" which is in my main extras folder. While my NEAR add-on is in a folder I call "spacecraft" which is also in my extras folder.
Just wondering if I've done anything wrong, or if this could be a problem with the "Replace" command?
regards,

Re: "Replace" bug ?
If I understand you correctly you are using two addons, one for the asteroids, one for NEAR. I guess the problem is that the NEAR addons is loaded first, but then the original Eros-definition including the reference to NEAR is replaced by the asteroids-addon and NEAR is lost in the process. Does this explain what you see?
Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to force the order in which addons are loaded in Celestia, except for using two separate extras-directories.
Replacing "Replace" by "Modify" for all asteroids which exist in the default installation should help for now. The "Replace" behaviour should be modified to retain existing children, additionally there should be a way to force a load-order for addons.

Yes, I'm using the two add-ons, and I would say this is exactly what is happening.

I actually physically moved my NEAR add-ons,
(ie: the model, textures and data file) into the various folders within jestr's new MajorAsteroids..... add-on, and NEAR appeared OK
This, I think, confirms what you are saying.

I have tried the modify command, and this too has worked. This is a much better solution, cheers!
jestr,
My NEAR model didn't appear in any of Celestia menu's either by right clicking on Eros or Sol, or even appear when typing in the name using the ENTER/NEAR/ENTER method, so I couldn't even select it to view it. Celestia didn't appear to be loading it. The "modify" command seems to have done the trick though!
